Lions Clubs donate heavily to The International Foundation, which supports Lions' projects around the world. In Florida, our District and State projects include the following: *Donations of more than $350,000 annually to Sight First to aid the blind and visually impaired. *We support the Florida Lions Eye Bank, which is located in Miami; one of the three Lions funded and Lions operated eye banks in Florida. There, eye research is conducted, eye diseases are studied, and eye tissue is gathered and furnished for corneal transplants. *The Florida Lions Camp for the Blind in Lake Wales handles nearly 300 blind or visually impaired children each summer.
